MARSHALL ISSUES INVITATION TO NEW DEPUTY PREMIER TO VIST REGION

Tuesday, 15 November 2016

NORTHERN Tablelands MP Adam Marshall has congratulated new Deputy Premier John Barilaro and new Nationals deputy leader Niall Blair following their elections at a party room meeting in State Parliament this morning.

“I know John and Niall will do a terrific job leading our party, building on the good work already done in country NSW and taking us forward as a strong united voice for rural and regional NSW,” Mr Marshall said.

“The new leadership team provides an opportunity to recalibrate, learn from some of the recent harsh political lessons and reconnect with the communities we serve.

“I’m really looking forward to working with both John and Niall in advancing the needs of people and the communities within the Northern Tablelands.”

Mr Marshall has wasted no time is discussing a number of issues important to the region, including resolving the issue of paramedics death and disability scheme, decentralisation of government departments, especially the new TAFE Digital Education headquarters, hospital redevelopments and additional roads and infrastructure funding.

“I have personally issued an invitation to the new Deputy Premier to visit the Northern Tablelands and I expect him to be in our neck of the woods very soon,” Mr Marshall said.

“The focus should be on the people and their issues in our region, not the Macquarie Street theatre, so I’m looking forward to Deputy Premier Barilaro visiting the Northern Tablelands so we can get down to business on the things that count.”
