BUSINESSES, councils and not-for-profits in the Northern Tablelands have until 1 March to apply for a share of $10 million in funding through the second round of the Murray Darling Basin Regional Economic Diversification Program (MDBREDP), Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall said today.
Mr Marshall said the Regional Business Investment Fund gave business in the region a chance to get a head start and strengthen their presence in the local regional economy.
“This is a great opportunity for the Northern Tablelands to share in the $10 million of funding made available to help create jobs and strengthen our local economy,” Mr Marshall said.
“Applications need to focus on new projects, business expansion opportunities, business establishment or infrastructure development to be eligible.
“Local councils and not-for-profit organisations can also still apply for the first round of the $4.1 million Energise Enterprise Fund which closes on next Tuesday.
“Energise Enterprise Fund applications can be eligible for up to $25,000 of unmatched funding, or up to $40,000 matched funding, for projects that will help businesses develop skills or focus on small local economic development.
“Applications for the Energise Enterprise Fund will remain open for subsequent rounds until either the funding allocation has been exhausted or a deadline of 30 September 2016.”
Any applications received on or before 2pm AEDT on 16 February will enter the first assessment round.
