Visiting Armidale and Inverell next Tuesday

NORTHERN Tablelands MP said today that new Deputy Premier John Barilaro would visit Armidale and Inverell on Tuesday next week.

The Deputy Premier confirmed the visit yesterday in State Parliament during question time, following a personal invitation to Mr Barilaro on Tuesday, shortly after his election.

“I’m delighted the Deputy Premier has responded so quickly to my invitation and will visit our region next week,” Mr Marshall said.

“The Northern Tablelands will be one of the first electorates the Deputy Premier will visit since his election earlier this week.

Mr Marshall said he’d be arranging a busy itinerary for the visit, meeting with local councils and in Armidale with business representatives, the University of New England and local TAFE staff and management.

“I’ll also be taking the opportunity to lobby the Deputy Premier about some roads funding around Inverell, the need for a new police station and brief him on the progress of the Inverell Hospital redevelopment,” he said.

Further details of the visit will be advised on Monday.
