PEOPLE eager to recognise an outstanding woman should act quickly and nominate her for the 2016 NSW Women of the Year Awards before nominations close next week.
Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall said the awards celebrate remarkable and inspiring women and the contributions they make in NSW.
“I want to encourage everyone to nominate an impressive woman who is striving to be their very best and achieving brilliant things, visit www.women.nsw.gov.au before nominations close on Wednesday, 13 January 2016,” Mr Marshall said.
Award categories include:
- Premier’s Award for Woman of the Year
- H. Beard’s Community Hero Award
- Harvey Norman’s Young Woman of the Year Award
- REX Airlines’ Regional Woman of the Year Award
- Aboriginal Woman of the Year
“Everyone knows a woman who goes above and beyond to make a difference,” Mr Marshall said.
“There is only one week to go until nominations close so I want everyone to make sure their nominations are in so that deserving women from our community can be duly recognised for their outstanding efforts.”
A ceremony for the 2016 winners will be held in March at Parliament House to coincide with International Women’s Day.
