THE Moree PCYC is bringing the fun this Thursday with local youth encouraged to get together with their friends and take part in PCYC NSW BBQ and Beats Tour.
Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall said activities had been adjusted to comply with current health advice and encouraged young people in the community to participate in the activities on offer at the club, as part of a broader school holidays program.
“Winter can be a difficult time to stay active, but this Holiday Break initiative will provide a great incentive for young people in Moree to get out and about, make new friends and experience exactly what PCYC is all about,” Mr Marshall said.
“The PCYC fun-mobile has been travelling to regional communities for a number of years now, delivering night discos and youth BBQs in towns which have little in the way of school holiday activities.
“The BBQ and Beats event this Thursday (8 July) is free and supervised and I encourage as many families as possible to sign-up for what will be a rocking time.”
Mr Marshall said the program would give young people living in regional areas the opportunity to enjoy recreational activities with their peers during their time off school.
“The Holiday Break program was the brainchild of our first Regional Youth Taskforce who came up with a fantastic way of bringing together kids, parents, carers and the wider community to have fun,” he said.
“This initiative will give young people in the regions a fair opportunity to relax and enjoy themselves throughout their holidays.”
The FREE Beats and BBQ event is on Thursday, 8 July from 4pm to 7pm. Enquiries can be made by phoning Moree PCYC on 02 6732 3741.
